Loops are a valuable way for external stakeholders, whether from within your organization or external entities, to engage with your documents, website, and resources. Follow these steps to create and share a loop effectively.
Getting Started
- Access the Loop Page:
- Navigate to the left side of your application's navigation bar and click on the "Loop" page.
- Initiate the Loop Creation:
- Click the blue 'Share Loop' button located in the top right corner of the page.
Adding Loop Details
- Fill in the Loop Information:
- Name of the Loop: Specify a name that reflects the individual, organization, or project related to the loop.
- Select Files to Share: Choose the files you want to include:
- You can select files individually.
- Alternatively, use the 'Select All Files' button located above the file dropdown menu to include everything.
- Provide Context:
- In the context box, give users clear instructions on what they should focus on or how they can utilize the loop effectively.
- Set Permissions:
- Decide on the permissions to grant users:
- Allow Users to Upload Files: Enables users to upload their documents for comparison, such as "How does my report compare?"
- Allow Users to Open Shared Files: Allows the users access to view the files you’ve shared.
- Display Buttons:
- Add relevant buttons that link to useful resources (e.g., your homepage, specific documents, or attached sources). This makes it easier for recipients to navigate related materials.
Advanced Settings (Optional)
- Access Advanced Settings:
- Here, you can add a disclaimer—this informs users about the use of AI tools and ownership.
- This disclaimer will be shown to new users when they first open the loop, requiring them to accept your terms and conditions.
Finalize and Share the Loop
- Create the Shareable Link:
- After setting up the loop, click the 'Create Shareable Link' button. This will automatically copy the link to your shared loop.
- Share the Link:
- Paste the copied link into a message for the individual(s) you want to notify, or enter it into your browser to test the loop.
- A modal will open displaying:
- The link itself for easy copying.
- Various sharing options such as email, LinkedIn, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
- An option to generate and download a QR code for quick sharing, especially if you are in close proximity to the loop recipients.
- Completion:
- Your loop will now be created and shared!
